Cast-in-place concrete structures for the tunnel project.
Ibetong’s contribution
Ibetong delivers cast-in-place concrete structures as a subcontractor to Implenia on E03. Our scope is concrete work, including formwork, reinforcement and pouring.
Our photographs show tunnel portals, tall formwork rigs and pouring inside the rock caverns. They document both the finished structures and the work behind them: formwork, scaffolding, concrete skips and pumping equipment inside the tunnel.
About the project
E39 Rogfast will connect Randaberg and Bokn through a subsea road tunnel, with a connection to Kvitsøy. The main tunnel is planned to be 26.7 kilometres long. It forms part of the work towards a ferry-free E39 along Norway’s west coast.
E03 is the southern section of the Boknafjord tunnel. The Implenia–Stangeland joint venture carries out the main contract for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. It covers tunnelling from Randaberg towards Kvitsøy and is one of several Rogfast contracts.
